Inventor 2012- Frame generator- Failed to Connect to Solver

Hi All,

I am currently trying to learn how to use the frame generator. Unfortunately after setting up a simulation and click "simulate" I get the following error " Solver: Failed to Connect to Solver"

Has anyone encountered this issue before?

I did a quick forum search and found some references to an unregistered Kernel 23. i found the folder but no existing exe file.

Any and all help is appreciated

Can you clarify what you mean by simulation? Stress Analysis or Frame Analysis? A screenshot would go a long way! 🙂 

If I have to take a guess, I would say try lowering your UAC (User Account Control)  found in the below location to the "Never notify" setting.

Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\User Accounts

I was attempting to use the frame analysis feature.

It turns out that i was missing some files in a folder called \Robot Kerne 23.0\System

I found a user in my work group with these files and copied pasted them over. Issue is now resolved.
