Initial 'Look in' directory

How can I get Inventor to default to a particular path? Everytime I choose 'Open', Inventor wants to initially look in Workgroup Path B while I want it to look in Workgroup Path A. I've fiddled with the path listings in the project file, but I can't seem to figure out how to set one of the workgroup paths as the 'HOME' directory. Can anyone shed some light?

I don't think you can. It is a bug. We have exactly the same problem and spent time on line in a net meeting with autodesk to sort out the problem. They couldn't solve it without deleting all library paths. I have noticed this problem mentioned several times on this newsgroup.

I haven't checked it out for iv but with acad I
would change the start in path in the properties under the icon that's on the
desktop. might be worth a try

That's not how IV works..

I seem to recall hearing that if you have two workgroups the one listed
first in the IPJ is the one that is the default. I could be remembering
wrong however.

It's shouldn't matter as IV uses project files to determine file placement
and scope...

I've tried messing with the path listings but nothing seems to help, Inventor always wants to look in a particular directory regardless of where it's listed (or how the path heading is spelled). I truly doesn't matter but it is damn annoying!

Snorkel,
I have several desktop shortcuts, each of them calling a separate ipj file
(instead of the inventor.exe). This works great for me.
