Importing DWG files

I have been having nothing but trouble trying to import simple acad drawings
from ACAD 2k into IV 6 Sp2.
The Autocad file is posted in CF under same header.

I closed the file in ACAD & tried Opening a file in IV selecting DWG.
I tried creating new part file & inserting Autocad file using the button on
the Panel Bar.
I set up options for acad & click ok & the system just takes forever & lists
as Not responding in the Task Manager & after a couple minute IV disappears
from the Task Manager application window completely but is still listed
under Process.

This often happens when trying to import even the simplest of line work from
ACAD. I have no idea what I could be doing wrong but sure would like to
resolve it.

Thanks.

worked fine for me gary. i reposted under your same topic name with an ipt. i think this part could of just as easily been created using a simple extrude, then an extrude cut, and polar array - but i guess that's your choice. -Joe

Thanks guys for checking it out. I am stumped on this . I think maybe it's
time to reinstall IV.
