Import existing dwg Title block into IDW

what's the easiest way to do that?

Is there a tutorial that would help step thru the process?

Thanks.

Copy>Paste between docs in R9 and previous releases.

R10 has a Drawing Resources Transfer Wizard (separate application) that lets
you copy various drawing resources (including title blocks) to a selection
of target drawing files.

I tried that. It only supports IDW and not dwg.

To create an Inventor title block from a DWG file:

1. Select "Open File"
2. Select the DWG file type
3. Select a DWG file that only contains your title block
4. Click the Open button. You will then be presented with the DWG import
wizard.
5. Select "Next" twice to get to the last page.
6. Select the "Title Block" option under the "Destination for 2D data"

That was too easy. Thanks.

Now how can I position the sheet relative to the yellowish background?

I tried editing and moving but to no avail.

In Inventor there's a distinction between Title Block and Border, and
actually Inventor did position this properly based on your doc settings.
You may want to wblock out just the title block area in AutoCAD (minus the
rest of the border) and repeat this process on that drawing.
