Imates disappears in weird way

Hello

I have created the ipart and add some imates to it.

Imates are visible in all table representations while in ipt file.

When I use this ipart  in assembly those imates disappears for some table representations.

See video link attached.

Please explain why?

Can you attach the iPart so we can look at the problem in more detail.

In the meantime I will try and re-create.

Jon

I found the problem.

I have created the ipart with imates and than used it in assembly.

So every variation of child part is created in certian folder when it used first time.

Than Inventor take a child part and does not create the new one.

So when I would make some changes to the main ipart it does not change the further use

of certain part since it will be taken from child folder and not created and not follow the changes made

to main ipart.

In order to make changes I should dellete the child folder and use once each deleted part again to create

the child with changes.

The problem IS

IT SHOULD be done when all assemblies are closed otherwise this child changing trick may not work out.

I do not know where else except the child folder those childs could be hidden but Invetor could use

already deleted part version insted of new if I do change without closing assemblies using this childs.

In my case I have changed the imates but did not clear the childs in the "right" way, I mean while other assemblies used those childs were opened.

That all not quite short story

Regards,

Orest

Always nice to find the solution.

You can highlight the file members and right click and select generate files, this will update all the members.
