ILogic rule for ipt browser node renaming?

Hi all,

is it possible to rename the browser node on part level with an iLogic rule? I know that in the assembly environment is an Inventor OOTB functionality to rename the nodes to the filename, Part number or the default value.

Any help would be appreciated.

Take a look at the following website, I think it will answer your question:

If you need more help then let me know.

Hi Jon,

thanks for your help. I found the soulution here:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/Inv-2011-How-do-I-set-quot-Part-Number-quot-as-the-d...

This is exactly what I was looking for.

I am now using an iLogic rule to compose the part number in the ipt file (it is a comination of a special item name and various part dimensions, and then the "UpdateAssyBrowser" rule is updating the browser names in assembly environment. Works great.
