IDW not updating

We a simple part, a plate with four holes in it, that would not update the idw after the ipt was changed. Has anyone else had this problem?

Check to see in idw that the ipt you change was the one referenced from the idw.

Tools-Document Properties-Drawing tab: Uncheck
'Defer Updates'.

This is a common problem for me.

The worse is it has no rhyme or
reason.

Often the base view doesn't up date but the
projected views do.

Somebody said the problem is if it is
a derived part. But for me it's not the only time.

So if you find out how to fix it let me
know.

'Defer Updates' is not the problem I have check
into that.

Sometimes I have seen the part not want to update until
the IPT or IAM is updated and saved. Then the IDW will update,
assuming you don't have "defer update" selected in the IDW
settings.

If your IDW reflects an IAM that has an updated part in it,
but you have not opened that IAM and saved/updated it, the IDW wont be
updated.

I have seen this on sheet 2 or greater. If I edit the part with the idw open every thing seems to update. I sometimes edit the ipt by moveing end of part marker up save; then move end of part marker down and save.
