How to reconnect a hose to a fitting in Tube and Pipe

I had a hydraulic hose connected to an elbow fitting  and now it has been changed a straight fitting.

What is the proper way to do this so that it is still adaptive?

And how can I reconnect the hose to the new fitting and have it adaptive?

I hope at least one of the two ways you can see in the attached video could help.

By the way, in general, if you replace the fitting, selecting it in the browser, right-click, and using the command Replace from Content Center, you should not lose the connection with the hose.
