How to create flat pattern of attached part

Dear all,

 

Is there any way to create flat pattern of a part I attached ?

HI!

 

No, it will not flat because this isn't a bend, but a plastic deformation and inventor it will not compute this kinds of deformation.

Hi!

 

Try to do it approximately, design a new part with arcs (Without 3D sketches), and in the final, the difference will not be far from the real part (in most of the cases).

Thank you very much.

I found out that such parts can be createt if they are symmetric to at least one axis (then you can use "Countour Roll").

 

Can anyone tell me what steps must be done to convert standard part to sheet metal ? (I haven't figured out this one yet 🙂 )
