How do you align dimension in IDW

Hi
I want to dimension 2 holes that are on a 15 degree angle and the dimension
is to be inline with a
line on a 12 degree angle.
How is this done.

Create a sketch in the view and dimension from that.

I have probably misunderstood what you are after, but here goes anyway. Can
you use the centerline tool, the icon looks like this: +---+ (it is named
ambiguously IMO) pick both holes RMB create. And dimension from cline to
cline?

That's not what I wanted to hear, but if that's the
way it has be so be it.

Thanks any way.

I was hoping for some RMB

This is what I mean.
I did this the way Flash explained it with sketch line.
If your way works then I'm not following

I did misunderstand. I thought you wanted your dim line parallel to the
cline of the holes.

If I understand you correctly, even though the c-line through all the
holes is not parallel to the edge, you want to dimension the holes
center-to-center, perpendicular to the edge of the part.

The attached file illustrates one way this can be done. The holes along
the right edge of the part are not parallel to the edge. Place
centerlines in each hole you want to dimension, RMB on centerline, edit,
select 'align to edge'. Now when you dimension between c-lines the
dimension will measure hole to hole, perpendicular to the edge of the part.

Thank You
That's more like it.
