Holes in a in a rolled part / can't place fastener

see part in cf.
i have tried serval ways to do this part. when i go to assemble the bolts i have nothing to pick on the hole.
i have tried putting in planes and points but nothing.
how can i put a bolt in these holes? or do i need to make the part different and more labor intensive.

anyone have anything? Autodesk? why can't this be done
the hole is there but can't constrain to it. is this a bug or not? all these brains and no one wants to answer the questions that have to do with actual modeling. seems like people just want to answer the opinion related ones.

I put one in there also.  Move the EOP icon
above the Fold then put in a work axis.  Then simply use axis-axis mate
plus a tangent with desired offset.  Also less than 5 mins.

Only problem being; the axes don't follow the holes when you re-apply
the fold.

Odd, the ones nearest the axis are OK (the ones I added) but I see what you
mean. I'd say that's a bug..

When I open yours I loose all the axis constraints. I can't quiet figure out how you were
using them either.

I have to think of it as one (a bug). It was the first thing I tried
and nothing gets them to follow. I think the first one is so close to
the beginning of the fold that it just doesn't matter. Out at the other
end you sure can see it though. There's just no way I can find to get
anything to stick to those holes after a fold.
I even tried Assy features, thinking they might hold at that level,
but no joy.

Hmmm, it opens fine for me. But, it's the same problem. Try recreting
the solution on one of the far end holes, no joy. I think it's either a
defect or a definciency.

Sorry, I was in a huge rush and the zip ended up with the wrong copy of the
strap part. I've posted a new one on CF. This one retains the fateners when
you change the fold feature. Fold is the oddball tool in IV, but even with
that, it should be easier to accomplish this.

I agree with dar. this is a bug and should be corrected or something. Rui i think would work but takes way longer than it should and i really hate doing workarounds. if the tool don't work i won't use it, that simple. what this is for is to hold curved polycarbonate sheet down on top of a canopy for airline stairs mounted on a f450. i have serval different lengths to do also and chaing only one or two dims and keep doing save as would be nice. thanks for you help

The fact that the axis doesn't follow the hole
after the fold is added is, IMO, coherent with a feature-based modeller like
IV:  features that come before are not affected by features that come
after. (If it could be an option, great).

What I DO consider a bug or, at best, missing
functionality, is the inability to define an axis on the hole center after it
has been folded.

At least, a point at the center of the hole should
be possible to (easily) define . (Maybe at the skecth level it would
work?)

That would allow quick definition of the
axes.

And if you could, as other programs can,
create an iFeature that could include work features and parts, quick assembly of
the bolts would be allowed.

For my part, I'll keep suggesting and
hopefully sometime (soon), Autodesk will look into including some of the
suggestions here.

On a similar note: AUTODESK pay attention.
IMO, this newsgroup is the best I have seen, so take (more) advantage of
it.
