Hide / show message box

Hi !

In inventor it's possible to hide "for ever" a message box by a clic on  "never show this message again ".

How is it possible to show this message again?

I'm not an expert on this, but you could try exploring iLogic.

Tools > application options > prompts

Find the message in the list, right click on it and select your preference.

I've already seen Tools > application options > prompts before asking. The message isn't there.

We're using Vault with Inventor. When I open an ipt (without extracting) and modify something, normally a message box displays to tell me to extract the file. In this message box I can choose to "never asked again";

But now I would like to see it again.

Ok, did you check "Tools > Options > configure prompts" in the Vault manager?

We don't use Vault for anything but CC, but i noticed there's some prompts stored in those options regarding check in/out and such...

1- I open an ipt without extracting.

2- I modify a radius

3- The ipt is modified without asking for extracting.

I usually have to extract it "manually".

I'm looking for the prompts which ask me to extract  my file when I'm doing a modification.

What version are you running?

I've just scanned through all available prompts on my Pro 2012 and can't see anything to do with "extracting" or modifying radii.

What do you mean by extracting?

Unless these prompts were once available to you, I'm going to veer towards my first suggestion of creating iLogic rules.

I'm sorry but I'm french and work with a french Inventor. So maybe "extract" is not the good word in English.

Anyway, you can see attached a pdf files which show you what I am speaking about.

Ah, I understand now - sadly I've never worked in Vault, so I must offer a sincere apology in possibly misleading you with my answers!

The term you've been looking for is "check-out". Unfortunately, I don't run vault either, so that's all the help I can be.

The term you are looking for is "Check-out".  Normally when you try to modify a vaulted file that is not checked out to you, Vault will prompt you "xyz is not checked out, Do you want to check it out now?".  If you have selected "Dont ever prompt again", you can change it back. Click the Vault tab, file Status panel, select the "Options".  Once there, click the "Prompts" button on the right.  There you should see this list.
