I understand how to select and hide surfaces and bodies using the model tree, but this isn't useful when my part has 50+ surfaces and solids and I'm forced to hover over each surface or body until the surface or body I want to hide is highlighted. This is possible using Soildworks but why not Inventor?

Don't you have a folder at the top of the browser that says Surface Bodies?
Can't you right click on the folder and unselect Visibilty?
How is this different than SWx?
Can you roll up the EOP and attach the file here?
I can select and hide both sufaces and solids in the manager tree folders, but what I'd like to do is select a surface or solid in the viewport, right click, and select hide.
Shift RMB
Change your selection filter to Bodies.
I understand now. Hold shift, then right click, then select Select Bodies.
Sorry everyone, for some reason I was not able to take a screen capture.
Thanks JD.
There is also an icon for setting selection filters in the upper left area of the screen.
