Helical Flight

I have got a difficult part that I need to get a flat pattern of. I have attached a portion of the drawing here. The item that I am needing is MK#13 in this view. It will have to follow the cone shape then follow the inside of the tube. Has anyone done anything close to this with Inventor? I need some suggestions on how to get started. Thanks -- IV R9, SP1 Dell PWS360, 2.6ghz, P4 2 Gb ram nVidia FX1000 6.14.10.6808Driver 1260x1024x32 bit

I have got this modeled in Inventor the way that I want it. Problem is I have had to use the loft command to generate the flight. Inventor will not flatten a loft (known limitation).... ???Where was that wish list survey??? Would anyone with the Copra Metalbender add-in be willing to flatten this for me if I send the file? I really can't justify the purchase of Copra just to do this one flat. I'll give it a try tomorrow in AutoPol Kirk. Is the first file what you want? "Kirk A." wrote in message news:4175915f$1_1@newsprd01... > I have got this modeled in Inventor the way that I want it. I just sent the dxfs to you. If they look okay let me know. If not we can try adjusting compensation methods. "Kirk A." wrote in message news:417595cd_2@newsprd01... > Thanks.
