Hatch dimensions

Hello Group.

We are having problems with dimensioning hatch areas.

We want to draw a rectangle so paint is no applied there. We can dimension the
rectangle but not against the part itself. Dims does not recognized the part,
does not see it!!
We have no problem doing this with 5.3. I made sure we are on the right view
when we went to sketch mode to draw the rectangle and then the hatch.
Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Erich

There is an option under Tools /Application Options/ Sketch "Autoproject
edges during curve creation" that you need to check so you can reference the
drawing entities while you sketch in the view. The other way to do this is
to project geometry (one of the sketch tools in the toolbar) and this will
allow you to reference to the geometry in the view.
