Is anyone using any of the new HP-Z seeries workstations at home or in a small business type application with Inventor 2012?
I want a new system and am curious to what people are using.
Thanks

Cool. I was looking at the Z800 with a Quadro 2000 but I like the price of the Z400 better. I am only using it for school right now. Hope to work at home later.
Thanks for your reply.
Hi, I am using the HP Z400 workstation with 3.07 GHz processor and 12GB RAM with Inventor 2012 professional. Although I'm impressed with it's performance I'm not blown away. Inventor seems to crunch a bit when working in realy big assemblys, I would reccomend the hig-end Z800 which is designed for speed. Hope this helps.
I definitely have a budget. I run two monitors now and I believe that is the only way to go. You guys have been a great help I guess it's up to how well HP can do on the price now.
My graphics card is an ATI FirePro V4800 which performs pretty well but is an entry level graphics card, I've not had any problems with it to date but if you go for a higher spec HP Z machine I'd go for a better card than this. More info here :
