I'd like to find the glue surface area for my wood assembly of 10 parts. I can find the surface area of the assembly (a nice number for calculating how much paint I need). How can I sum up the total surface area of all the individual parts and subtract the assembly surface area? It would be nice to put this as a custom property that I can use in a note.
I guess other ways to call this would be "contact area," "bond area" and "common mate constraint area."
