the web post seems to strip table html elements, but other common elements seem to slip through fine. now, let's try some javascript....

btw, is this by design?

Please, don't go there. It looks quite ugly here. HTML is not HTML
if it is not declared in the mimetype of a message. And HTML for news
posts is inapropriate anyways.

aw, a little Friday morning hacking never hurt nobody... but seriously folks, I came across the feature after typing in some greater-than and less-than symbols and the words didn't appear. I realized these weren't escaped (or replaced by > and <) and decided to play a bit...

It's a bug than, not a feature.
