Hi. I need to produce profile plates that have compound curves. These are the sort of plates you would find on the hull of a boat. There is software that will do this but I would prefer to use inventor. Can inventor do this, or have I got to go and buy another programme?
Inventor 2010 and 2011 have some ability to handle formed shapes, but I'm guessing you'll need something else. Post a typical sample file and/or screen shot for a better idea. There are a few boat guys on here that can probably tell you right off, what you can/can't flatten.
Hi thanks for the comments. I have now attached a file containing a curved plate as an example. This plate has been flattened by another programme. If inventor could do the same I would be very pleased.
