FEA report

I completed an FE analysis and would like to make a report. The trouble is the pictures are not showing in the report. This has been going on for a few days now. It is happening with all of the files I try to do it with. It worked fine before this week.

Also, I don't think it is internet explorer because I tried printing it to pdf, xps, and saving it in a different format and it did not work.

Because it's generating the report, was working until recently and only the images are not generating, I'm going to assume the registry in the HKeyUsers and HKey Local Machine hives for the \Simulation\Report\Main.htm for the feageneratereport.htm are set to "1" (on). So I'd like you to do the following on the HKey Current User ONLY:

*Warning:
Problems caused by improperly editing the Windows registry could render your computer operating system unusable. Microsoft has provided a wealth of critical information you need to know about the registry in the Microsoft Knowledge Base at http://support.microsoft.com/support.
Use the Registry Editor only at your own risk and only after backing up the registry as well as the System.dat and User.dat files as outlined in ARTICLE-ID: Q132332 TITLE: How to Back Up the Registry. (This article is in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.) Additional information about the registry is also contained in the Help topics in the Microsoft Windows Registry Editor.*

Navigate to Start and in the run box enter "regedit" to get into the registry editor

Navigate to and delete the two following keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\Current Version

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk\Inventor\RegistryVersion(version number) see below

For 2012 -->"16.0"
For 2011 -->"15.0"
For 2010 -->"14.0"
etc.

Then restart Inventor and let those current user keys re-populate from the HKey Local Machine hive as it does.

Please mark as solution if it resolves it or let us know if you need more help. Thank you.

Nope. Problem continues... would it be worthwhile to troubleshoot this with windows or ie?

Is it producing an "image" folder where the report is located containing the bitmaps? Do you see the images being saved out as it does the report? What are your resolution settings?

Yes, it would be worth having a look at: 1) what has changed since it was working; 2) IE settings – as far as security; 3) Active X; 4) another user logging in (preferably a local administrator account (not domain)); 5) User Account Control settings on Windows 7 or Vista; 6) Depending on your OS, checking the design data locations in your project:

"C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\Inventor (Version)\Design Data\Simulation\Report\Main.htm" for Windows 7/Vista

"C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Inventor 2010\Design Data\Simulation\Report\Main.htm" for XP

Please let us know the results. Thank you.

Correction: Should have read ".png" images, not "Bitmap".
