I'm pretty new to Inventor and am stuck on this one.
I'm creating a top-down assembly of a tank. The bottom has 3 channels 60" (one 3", one 4" , one 5") spaced evenly apart with a floor plate that lays on top, so it is pitched. I created that subasm with the Frame Generator. Then I offsetted a work plane from the bottom of the channels up to a given height, say 42" to create work plane, let's call it, WorkPlane_Tank_Hgt. Then I extrude plates down to the pitched floor to make a square box, so the plate in front is taller than the plate in back and the plates on the sides are pitched on the bottom.
The problem comes when I extrude to the floor plate, it creates a work plane at the floor plate (WorkPlane_Floor_Plate) so when I change WorkPlane_Tank_Hgt, WorkPlane_Floor_Plate moves off the floor plate and my walls don't change.
Anyone have an idea on this?
Thanks, Kim
Or I guess my problem is how do I attach the Work Plane to the pitched floor?
Thanks for any help

Possible to post a screen capture
Yes I can. I deleted the walls last night and was going to try again. When I do I'll see if I can get it to work otherwise I'll post a pic.
Thanks, Kim
Here's an image of the tank. The top (brown) WP is an offset WP create from the asm XY plane, ie. it is the Tank Hgt. The blue WP (Work Plane2) was created when I selected the floor (gray plate) as the extrude to point. When I change the Tank Hgt, (brown WP) the blue WP moves. How do I keep the blue WP fixed to the floor?
Thanks for any help.
