problem seems to of been around a while.
I can relate it to a
particular problem I had with a specific IDW to DWG.

It
all came down to some hatching on section views, it was quite a
complicated
drawing with alot of hatching, but it was only the very
fine hatching on the smaller
components that would
fail.
Deleting these hatches in the IDW, Save Copy As to DWG
then put the hatches back
in with AutoCAD got round
it.
We're now being more selective on our large / complicated
section views with regards
to hatching.
Are you strating
with complicated IDWs.? Have you tried any simple tests of the
sample
Inventor files.?

this looks like a problem I had recently. The Autodesk take is that this is a
random issue (that they're working on) with the DBxBridge and windows. To
speed up and workaround until they get a fix made, try going to Windows
Regional and Language Options in control panel, and change your Region Options
to English (United States), then on the Advanced Tab make sure it also says
English (United States). Not a very desirable workaround for those of us
outside the US, like me (in Australia). But if it gets the job done...*shrugs*
at least until the fix is posted. Hope it helps. Cheers,
Melinda
