Envelope dimensions in part/assembly. Max shipping box dim doesn't matter shape

I'm looking for an easy way to extract the information of max box dimensions (X, Y, Z).

When we want to send one part, or assembly all over the world, we need those dimension. I think, it is something that inventor already have it but not in an easy way like a phisical propertie that you can include in your BOM. Any ideas? may be, is this something for autodesk to implement?

Yes, there is a way.

Start a new IPT, derive the part/assembly that you want the envelope dims of. Say I want an envelope of motor below:

Then click on the green "bounding boxes" button. You can now measure the box, or even create a macro or iLogic rule to do it for you.

Yes, that is really nice. But, if I have to do it for every single part and assembly it starts to be a tedious process. I think for now is OK. But, an iproperty will be much easier. Thank you very much!
