Embedding Excel into Sheet Metal template

First off..Noob question... How do you embed (not link) an excel spread sheet into my sheet metal template.  The excel file is simple, 2 rows listing the A1=gauge and B1= decimal equivalent.

What I want to do with this is to get the gauge to show up in the iProperties description along with length and width of part.  The thing is I need colum A to show up in the iProperties (12GA) but colum B to be used for the sheet metal default thicness.

I keep getting this errorwhen I run my code.....

Error in rule: Gauge, in document: Part1

GoExcel: 3rd Party worksheet not found: "3rd Party:Embedding 1", Sheet: "Sheet1"

Code so far..

i = GoExcel.FindRow("3rd Party:Embedding 1", "Sheet1", "Gauge", "<=", iProperties.Value("Custom", "Gauge"))

MultiValue.List("Thickness") = GoExcel.CellValues("3rd Party:Embedding 1", "Sheet1", "B2", "B35")

So I need help with both the embedding and code.

the event trigger not the little star trigger.

ok Make a rule name it how ever you what Mat. Desc. is what I called mine in that you can paste this code in it and you will be all set to run the rule.

On Error Resume Next
iProperties.Value("Project", "Description") = SheetMetal.GetActiveStyle() & " X " _
 & RoundToFraction(SheetMetal.FlatExtentsLength, 1/32, RoundingMethod.Round) & " X " _
 & RoundToFraction(SheetMetal.FlatExtentsWidth, 1/32, RoundingMethod.Round)

Now the event trigger needs to be set See pic :

Sorry for the delay in response....had to reboot..ACADM locked up.

Where did you get the code

RoundToFraction(SheetMetal.FlatExtentsWidth, 1/64, RoundingMethod.Round)

from?  I found the FlatExtentsWidth but that doesn't have any of the rest of this line of code.  Where is a good place to find this extra code?

And THANKs for your help, time and patients... Man Very Happy

Hey I am trying to reply to your email but it shows 2 account and will not let me email you even if I check the right one. You may want to have them (Autodesk) remove the other account so I can reply and others can email you. or you can email me again and give me your email there. Up to you..

No they have really nothing on ilogic.

This is one of the things that upset me about Autodesk they was real good when Inventor 1st came out but now they don't care about us....

ok..got an issue...

I saved the template and saved all the rules to the style library and opened up a new file and the only rule to show up was the 12Ga rule that I had set active.  How do I save the rest of them after I create them (for the 3rd time) and get them to show up in the rules???...LOL

Do a screen shot of your rule browser I have to see where you placed the rule and how to you save back to template did you use the make template button?

they styles I created under the "Sheet Metal Rules" aren't saving in the template.  I thought a video would help to show what I am talking about.
