Edit prompted text in Title Block

I am trying to edit my idw template title block. As it is now the text that it is placing on the idw type "Properties-Model", Property "Title". I am wanting to change this to be Properties-Drawing, Title instead. No matter what I change it to, it always goes back to the original Model,Title. I can change the height of the text, but not the text value. Weird. It hasn't always been like this has it? Anu suggestions on how to change it? -- IV R9, SP1 Dell PWS360, 2.6ghz, P4 2 Gb ram nVidia FX1000 6.14.10.6808Driver 1260x1024x32 bit

I just rebooted and changed to a single user project, then tried to edit the title block of the (out of the box) standard.idw template. I tried to edit the Model,Company field in the TB. No matter what I do, I can't change this. I can delete the field and change the text size, but I can't replace it with any other field. -- IV R9, SP1 Dell PWS360, 2.6ghz, P4 2 Gb ram nVidia FX1000 6.14.10.6808Driver 1260x1024x32 bit "Kirk A." wrote in message news:41928048_1@newsprd01... > I am trying to edit my idw template title block. Was this title block created in an earlier IV version, and now you're trying to edit it in IV9? I had the exact same problems. Our title block had been created in an earlier version (no idea which version), and when I tried editing (such as you mentioned, changing properties, text size, format, etc) but nothing happened. I could only delete the text altogether and re-insert new text. I finally opened our IDW templates, edited the TB, deleted all the text, and reinserted all of it back in (did this with IV9 of coures). Since doing that, I can edit them no problem. Seems like a bug, but no one else had complained about this before so I didn't gripe about it thinking I'd just done something wrong or missed the boat on something. I haven't heard of any better fixes for this. -- Scott M Inventor 9, SP1 Windows XP Pro Maxtor 60GB HD 3D Labs Wildcat VP560 64MB Intel Pentium4 2.4GHz 1GB RAM "Kirk A." wrote in message news:419286f2_3@newsprd01... > I just rebooted and changed to a single user project, then tried to edit the > title block of the (out of the box) standard.idw template. Scott, Just found out what I was doing wrong. After you change the text, you have to click the "Add Text Parameter" button (the one to the right of the property box). Hope this helps. So that way you can add a new field? But can you edit an existing field? (One that was created in an earlier IV version?) I would try it, but I've updated all my fields! Good to know that much, anyway. -- Scott M Inventor 9, SP1 Windows XP Pro Maxtor 60GB HD 3D Labs Wildcat VP560 64MB Intel Pentium4 2.4GHz 1GB RAM "Kirk A." wrote in message news:4193f106$1_2@newsprd01... > Scott, > Just found out what I was doing wrong. You can update the fields by highlighting the one you want changed, make the change, then click the "Add Text Parameter" button. Worked for me. Sorry to hear you went through all that trouble. -- IV R9, SP1 Dell PWS360, 2.6ghz, P4 2 Gb ram nVidia FX1000 6.14.10.6808Driver 1260x1024x32 bit "csmac2004" wrote in message news:4194d3b0$1_3@newsprd01... > So that way you can add a new field? Thanks anyways. Oh well, not the first time and for sure won't be the last... :) -- Scott M Inventor 9, SP1 Windows XP Pro Maxtor 60GB HD 3D Labs Wildcat VP560 64MB Intel Pentium4 2.4GHz 1GB RAM "Kirk A." wrote in message news:41950e70$1_3@newsprd01... > You can update the fields by highlighting the one you want changed, make the > change, then click the "Add Text Parameter" button. > > Worked for me.
