Dynamic simulation resetting zero position problem

I have a simple test assembly.

I have the moving part A with one DOF sliding over the Part_B, see pic1.

The Part_B is grounded by constraints to three planes.

As you can see from pic1 Part_B constrained to YZ plane by side, not by center plane.

The question is: why Part_A moves to the center of Part_B with Position 0mm?

I guess it supposed to match the YZ plane, doesn’t it?

When I cut the Part_B (make it shorter than initial extrude) the Part_A still occupies the former center of Part_B, see pic2.

So the second question is: How to “reset” or assigng the Position 0mm do desired one?

These questions are sooooo much easier to answer when datasets are attached.

Use a Mate or Mate-Flush constraint (with offset if necessary) to place exactly where you want in assembly environment).

Now - SUPPRESS THIS CONSTRAINT (I keep it rather than delete it).

Go to Dynamic Simulation Environment.

Go to the Properties of the joint.

In the DOF in question right click on the number (whatever it is) and select Set Offset.

This will set the current position as the new zero position.

This is exactly what I initially did but missed the “Set offset”.

Thank you for advice.
