Driving a Constraint in an Assembly Question

I'm very familiar with driving a constraint WHEN in (1) assembly (where all the parts are selectable). Now I have an assembly that contains several sub-assemblies. The constraint I need to drive is "embedded" inside one of those sub-assemblies and not available until I edit. What do I have to do to drive this constraint while the entire assembly is active. Thanks for the help.

Make the sub-assembly adaptive. Note: This is drive all occurrences of
sub-assembly.

Ok, I rmb on sub-assy and check marked "adaptive". I rmb on embedded constraint, I still do not have the option to "drive constraint". Now what....

Nevermind - I had another sub-assy embedded into the other sub-assy.....(huh???). Any ways, it worked. Thanks for your help.
