Drawing title properties source

I dont have a problem actually but I am just curious how you users set up the source of the title properties in the Drawing

For instance if you create an part I assume you write up your name in "Author" and "Designer" boxes in the "part" file

Maybe even Date, revision, approve etc etc

But in the drawing title do you link the name from the "Model properties" or as default from "Drawing properties"

For us, we link almost all properties to the model.
The only properties we pull from the drawing are the drawing's author and a custom date field for "last saved"
(and the sheet number / number of sheets...)

Hello

Thankyou.

Thats was my thought also to link most of the properties from the model.

All default Inventor drawings is not set up that way so thats why i asked here.

I have an aditional question for placing model properties into the drawing

I mostly work in sheetmetal parts.

In the drawing I could import the flatpattern length and width which is great!

But the sheetmetal Thickness is almost more important but I cant find that value anywhere.

Is it possible to retrive the Thickness?

Several times when we change a thickness in the model we have forgotten to enter the drawing and write in a new thickness value manually.

In your Sheetmetal template parameters, export the Thickness parameter.
It will create a custom iProperty that you can use in your drawings
