Drawing template

HI

Iam about to change sheet template ( idw ) to at new company LOGO, to secure that it will be easy in the future to change the layout for this template I wonder if there is a way like AutoCAD command XRef to do this in inventor.

Hi hlo,

To link an image as an external reference you can use the Link button in the Open dialog box of the Insert Image tool as shown in the image below. When you set up your title block in this manner, you can simply replace the image with an updated one (of the same name and location) and Inventor will automatically use the new image.

Another way to do this is to leave the image a static embedded image, and then use the Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard to batch replace the old title block definition with the new one for a selected set of drawings.

IN autocad or Inventor?

If Inventor as long as you named the title block the same as what is in the 100 others you can use the Drawing Resource Transfer Wizard..  Just check the replace if named same...

You'll get better responses asking this question in the AutoCAD forum.
