Download, Install, and Deploy Product Design Suite 2015 on an isolated network

For security reasons, we have 2 networks.  For purposes of this discussion, we’ll call one LMI and the other ENG.

LMI network is a network that has limited access to the internet with firewall restrictions and managed remotely by an IT department in another location.

ENG network is an isolated network that has no internet access.  This network contains all of our engineering documents and CAD data.  This is a local network that we can manage at our facility.

I have two computers in my office.  The one that is connected to the LMI is for emails and internet research.  The one connected to ENG is where all my CAD tools must reside.  I can download files from the internet onto my LMI computer and then transfer them to my ENG computer or the ENG network, but I cannot download files directly to my ENG computer from the internet, nor do I have any access from the ENG computer to the internet for product registration or service packs.  Furthermore, I cannot install CAD tools on my LMI computer because of cooperate restrictions.  What is the best way to download, install, and deploy Product Design Suite 2015 on the ENG computers and network?

Thank you,

       Brent

IMO, for step 1, forget the download (unless you absolutely must have it today) and order the physical media.

I'm not saying the download doesn't work sometimes, but having the media is far more reliable.

The earlier suggestion of requesting phyical media will cure any download issues. As for the activation you didn't mention whether it was standalone or network versions. It really doesn't make too much of a issue. With out a Internet connection you can try to activate the product once. When it bounces back you can try it again this time when it gets bounced go back one step and you will see a option of I have authorization already. Select this and there you will see a request code at the top of the page. With the request code you can call the Authorization Center 800-551-1490 and you can get a license there. The same applys for a network license but you will need the license hosts, Name and Mac address. This can also all be done online but transfering from one machine to another is a pain.

The license is stand alone.  Thank you for the tips.  We ordered the “download only” copies because at the time, the media kit was extra plus taxes on the entire bundle was $$$.  I was advised that downloading was the way to go.  After several failed attempts and extremely frustrated we invested lots of money in a product we can never get, thinking I might as well of bought some real estate on Mars while I was at it, I filed a trouble ticket with Autodesk.  That’s when I realized there was a media request option.  I guess Autodesk realized downloading 30GB at a time online is FRICKEN INSANE!  Most of us don’t have that kind of band width or internet reliability at our disposal, and then when you add security and firewall restriction and an IT department constantly pushing these enjoying updates, it just doesn’t work.  Anyway, I’m off of my soap box now.  Thank you for your help!

Why not you download the PrDS install files onto your LMI machine(you have permission, right?) and copy it to ENG machine later via a external disk?  even you cannot access network on neither LMI or ENG machine, you can download the PrDS install files on any machine with network connection, then, copy it to LMI or ENG machine.

or your cooperate even restric insert external disk?
