Dimensioning Isometric View (text Orientation)

Hi,

Im working on a belt tightener and for the base there are alot of points you cant snap to, so that i can dimension it because it is blocked by other sides of the part. Is there any way that i can find points to dimension from and still have all the dimensions on the same dimesion plane?

Hi,

You can create a visible work plane in the part and then use that work plane as an annotation plane for isometric dimensions. While placing a dimension use a context menu command 'Annotation Plane' -> 'Show All Part Work Planes'. Now you can select the work plane and isometric dimension will be placed on it.

Hope this helps,

Thanks, that really helped on getting the dimension on the same dimension plane as the others! helping me to complete my project.
