Dimensional Variation Simulation

is there a way to run a simulation of dimensional variation? As Monte Carlo simulation.

A dimensional tolerance analysis as showed in this link:

Yes, at least with Stress Analysis, Inventor calls this Parametric Studies:

you're welcome.

also here's a tutorial, The 2nd step adresses the simulation study specifically.

Assembly Modal Analysis

Can I  have a capability graphic about it?

In 3DCS ( http://www.3dcs.com/pages/sw_ta_catia.php ) looks like easy, because it get the informations direct from the GD&T data in 3D file.

I will check the links in home, trying to run something like that.

Once again, thanks very much!

BMiller63,

check this video: http://www.3dcs.com/videos/catia/3dcs_box_cutter_10-11-07.wmv

That the kind of simulation that I'm looking for. The material that you posted shows a Stress Simulation, what is great because will help me in the last chapter of my final college work, but it not talks about Tolerance Variation or Dimensional Variation analysis showed in the video.

I don't use the simulation tools so I can't say for certain, but I pretty sure there is no "wizard" to do this in Inventor. But I'm guessing the experienced user could do something similar. But it would require some setup. I may be wrong though, there verywell may be some part of the workflow that is missing.

Hopefully someone with more prurience using these tools in Inventor will chime in and offer something more definitive.
