The guys on the break press want a dimension that I haven't found an easy way of putting in the drawing.
How do you dimension from one intersection to the oppisit intersection and have the dimension perpendicular to the angled line.
In the attached drawing the dimensions in red are easily done but the one in yellow I can do without drawing a sketch then dimensioning. ( very time consuming)
Click on the view and start a sketch
Project the four lines
Draw a line and constrain it to the four projected lines so it's the length you want to dim
Finish sketch
Create your dim
Edit sketch and change the line to sketch only
That is how I have been doing it but I want an easier way. Making a sketch every time is too time consuming.
Thanks anyway

Ever use AutoCAD?
Draw every line?
Now that was time consuming.
Amazing how fast we become dependent on a expectation of the software to do everything for us at the click of an Easy Button.
Carry on.
Yes smart donkey I have used autocad and drawn every line. 😃
And if I enjoyed that I would still be using Autocad.
I was hoping there would be a right click and align dimension perpendicular to line.
PS
Its lazy people that invent things
It wasn't an exercise fanatic that invented power steering

Post your idea here.

If you do post it in the idea station, link to it from here. I'll vote on it, as it is something I have frequent need of.
Hopefully this link will take you there. It has a heading of "align dimension perpenducular to a line"
Nice Lester,
got my vote
