Different results in FEA inventor 12- inventor 13

Hello and good morning

i recently installed inventor 13 over inventor 12 and i have some problems in FEA.

For the same exactly assembly the results from 12 are completely different.

i use the same settings in both cases

the differences are huge (safety factors from 1.02 goes to 3.0 and so on)

Are there any new options that i miss to see?

Any one other with the same problems?

Also the part-assemble doesn’t have the colors of fea on the bended parts (attached file)

I don't have access to 2012 to check the differences (and there were 2 parts missing from your assembly), but I can report that I get the colors for the analysis.

I've run into your color problem also my solotion was running my video hardware setting in compatibability mode.

Some reason performance and quality setting cause this, are you running a ati/amd video card?

Might be obvious but do you have 'no shading' selected on the display panel on the ribbon? See attached.

thanks for the answers

the color problem was something to do with the display settings of my video card.

the FEA solution problem had something to do with the material settings of steel that had been altered from someone else.

I'm running into a similar problem with Inventor Professional 2014 - my FEA results are accurate, but it doesn't show any of the colors. What exactly did you have to change on your video card to fix this?

I'm running Inventor on a 64-bit Windows 7 system with a Nvidia Quadro 4000 video card.

It wasn't the video card I believe Autodesk will have to fix it eventually but what you have to do is go to
"View" pull down change "Visual Style" to shaded. Once you have that it will allow you to click on the "Textures" button to turn it to ON.
Now you can go back to "Visual Style" and change it back to wireframe.
Pretty goofy but that's what I had to do for some reason texture is turned off when you go into FEA mode initially.

That took care of it. Thank you!
