Design assistant

We have some assy drawings we that we often use as a start for new projects
containing several iam, ipt, idw files.
The reason we do this is to reduse the constuction time of a new model that
is nearly similar to a earlyer built one.

But we have some problames whit using the Design assistant. Please give me
som hints..


We have placed the start drawing on a seperate drive with read only
accessebility.
In the assy drawings there is files linked in the same dir and in other dir.

Questions??

Do I need to activate the project I am copy the files from.?
Can Inventor run during this operation?
I often get error - faid during updating active project?
Shud I rather use pack & go and then later use design assistant to change
the name of the copied files?
