Deleting a coincident constraint.

I have noticed what I consider a bug in AI2009. When trying to delete a coincident constraint using the show constraint command, it is impossible to do so. All other constraints I can delete while I am in the "show constraints" dialog box, but not coincident constraints. As soon as I get out of the "Show constraints" command, the yellow dots are still showing and I can then hover over them and they highlight so I can delete them. Is this how it was intended or should I be able to delete them like the others while still in the "show constraints" command?

Not a bug...

You can delete coincident constraints either with all constraints showing or
without. Simply hover over the coincident marker and they will appear. See
attached

Dennis, You didn't listen to what I was saying. They will not appear when you are in the show constraints command which is different than it has ever been before. It is also the only constraint I can't delete while in that command.

Do you have Display Coincident Constraints on Creation checked in
Application Options > Sketch?

I'm able to select on the coincident constraint indicator either way. Not
sure what's going on with your system. 32 bit 2009 here.

I still don't think you are trying what I am asking you to do. I guess it is time for an avi file. Do the exact steps shown in this avi file. It is not until I get out of the command that the constraints show for selection.

I would definitely say it is different behavior than the F8 show all
constraints. I can duplicate the AVI file. However if I have the option
checked in application options > sketch, then I do not have to select on the
line to delete the coincident constraint. I normally never picked that icon
in the 2D sketch panel. I normally use the right-click menu or hit F8 as it
is faster than picking from the tool panel.

I would call this inconsistent behavior compared to other constraints, and
is probably due to the addition of this option in application options.

Yeah, I normally don't have the "option" selected to show coinincident constraints upon creation. And if I am only interested in one object, I don't like to "show all constraints" because it gets cluttered, although this is better now. That is why I often use the "show Constraints" button and then just select what I want. Before 2009, I could delete any constraint while still in the command, now I can't for coincident constraints.

In R2008 it happens when a coincident constrain is placed onto projected
centre point for example. Then the link should be broken before the
coincident constrain can be deleted. Not sure how it is in R2009 however.

I'm having this issue in 2012.  I can get the yellow connection grips to appear, but sometimes when I hover over them, the coincident constraints do not appear.  Very annoying.  Very troublesome.  Reloading the drawing seems to clear it up... until it starts happening again...

Is anything else highlighted (red)?
Attach the file here that exhibits this behavior.

Right click the line near the desired end and select Delete Coincident Constraint. This will also work on circles that share the same center point.
