Second try?

The detail view circle designation letter displays too
large. Is it possible to edit the text height?

TIA,

I don't know if it will "stick" but if you make a new text style, set it as the "sheet text style" under standards and create your view the text size will be set by the style. It will also change view label sizes etc. but you can change those manually.

The text is 1.5 x the standard text height. You can select it and in the context choose
to Edit it.

You could also set up another standard to use with a different text height to use when you
make your views I believe.
