Create Flat Pattern of Auger Spiral

I have drawn an auger with several spirals using the coil command but cannot create a flat pattern of the shape. I planned to profile cut the shape on a plasma cutter before stretching and welding it along a central cylinder.

Is it possible?

See att.(i've find in Mcad forum)
the extrusion1 is the flat pattern.
drive it by parameter.
i don't know the flat pattern's accuracy?

Hi Yannick,
Thanks for your response. The flat pattern you attached is how I expected the ID and OD to be however I am having problems understanding how you achieved the result. Your sketch appears to have broken the spiral into triangular segements.
Can you elaborate?

Yannick,

Please do not be offened.  I am not an autocad user.  I can not afford it.  I am using a less expensive CAD program that can import DXF, DWG, IGES, WMF, HPGL, and XYZ file types.  Do you know if the Archmedes screw pattern that you provided as an IPT file type can be obtained in one of the file types that I am able to import?

Thanks

Colnel B

Hi

I don't think you will able to import the file and keep the flat pattern. it will be a dump solid with no parameter like the ipt file
