Couple more newby questions

There has been a few references here about the relative merits of iParts vs.
library parts. Anyone want to elaborate on the rational behind this
(hopefully, briefly).
Maybe my second question answers the first:
I insert a library part (finally figured out how, bit dense sometimes), say
a 1/4-20 nut.
Oops, should have been a 1/4-28. How do I change it? I know I can replace it
but that seems a bit cumbersome. Should be easier but I can't figure out
how.

With iParts just select the flat head factory part.

I don't know of any way, but then I don't use the built in library much.
