Cost to buy Inventor

Hi Folks,
Is the price for Inventor fixed or does it vary according to vendor?
Where can you get the best deal?
Do you have to get everything as in MechDesktop and AutoCad that comes with
the package my previous employer bought.
Can you buy it used?
I know that a VAR can answer these questions but just thought I would canvas
the newsgroup.

I think the cost is fixed (although I don't know what it is, I think it's
around $5G). When you buy the Inventor Series, it comes with MDT and ACAD.
Legally, I don't think you can buy it used.

All depends on weather you use the authorised dealers, you can get deals however.

Once Autodesk software is authorized, it can not be sold to another party.

The way to transfer ownership of the software from one company to another is
for the company to be purchased by another company. And there is a fee to
transfer ownership.

If a privite party is the owner of the software, I think it can not be
transfered to another privite party or a company. However, I may be wrong on
this one.
