Correct Section or a Bug

Our brake operators want section views with out seeing the back flanges. By
accident we found that we could accomplish this by a section view like this

Is this a correct method? Is this a bug? Will I be able to do this in future
releases. I am afraid that this might be a bug and it might be fixed and we
will no longer be able to do this. Before anyone says anything about our
style I had nothing to do with it. They were doing thing this way 14 years
before I got here. Thanks.

Very creative. Don't know about whether this is a bug or not, or if it
will get fixed(?) at a later release. I was wondering why you don't
just use a conventional section and then hide the lines you don't want
displayed? That would be, RMB on the line(s) in question and then turn
off the visibility. Then you won't have to worry about bug/fixes in the
future.

We don't hide lines because at times it can get into the 100's and also we
have had problems with failure to updates or someone else making changes and
not realizing what the person before had done and dimensions being wrong.
