Copying parts w constraints

Is there a way to copy multiple parts that are constrained to each other and keep the constraints?.
I do not want to create a sub assembly and then insert mulitple times.

A workaround...

demote them to a sub..add as may times as you want
then promote the subs back to the top level.  They will keep their
constraints to one another but not to any external objects.

Only problem is when you try to promote more than 1 sub back IV 5.3 & 6 crash. If I do one at a time the other placed assemblies go poof and are gone.

It's not exactly what you want, but you could
select the part before you select it, select infer Imate, and then copy the
parts out.  That way you're keeping the constraints, unfortunately
they're not constrained to each other.
