Coordinate system - sketch - cannot move

Hi all,

I've been struggling with this problem for some time now, so thought I'd ask
if anyone knows the solution. Sometimes, I move the sketch coordinate
system with no problem at all. Other times, I can NOT make it move no way.
For example, I just began a new assembly, creating parts in place, and on
the first grounded part, I moved the sketch coordinate system on several
sketches without problems. I moved it so I could predictably insert AutoCAD
.DWG into the sketch, and it worked beautifully. I've done this many times
before, so I know it can work. I then created several more parts, with
geometry projected from the first part. I then began a fourth part,
projected some geometry, and tried to move the sketch coordinate system.
Now, what I just did awhile ago WILL NOT WORK. I've tried everything -
closed Inventor, re-booted, started a simple .IPT , etc... I can select the
coordinate system Origin, and the next prompt ask me to "Select a Vertex,
Circular Edge, Workpoint, or Sketchpoint", but NOTHING seems to be
selectable.

Please, has anyone else seen this? What am I missing?

Keith

I am pretty sure there must be a feature for it to work...... for instance I
don't think you can change it in the first sketch.

Anyhow if you have a simple ipt go ahead and post it to customer files.

Have you though about moving the autocad sketch after inserting it. That is
the easiest way to deal with it. That is what I do. I never bother moving
the coordinate system. Too aggravating.
