Converting Units

I have a file that was made inch units and when I make the detail drawing for it I want it to be in metric. When I dimension it all of the dimensions will be in metric except for the the command features such a s the hole command. Those for some reason are still being displayed in inches. Does anyone know how to fix this other than making the file all over again?

Thanks in advance.

Try going to Tools>Document Settings>Units  in the ipt file (I assume you started metric idw or dwg file for the drawing)

but,

are these threaded holes?  There is no equivalency between inch and metric threads.

They are threaded holes. It is very strange because the thread callout is correct (M5x0.8 for example) but the through hole and counterbore dimensions read in inches. Attached is a picture of one of the dimensions im talking about. Also I have already gone in to the document setting and changed it to millimeters as the units.

Not sure it this will get any closer to solution, but curious -

go into the ipt file and Edit Feature the Hole Feature.

Attach screen shot of dialog box here.

and

are you up to date on SP and Update 2 for SP1.1?

Might this be what changed when you edited the feature?  If checked, it means that the units from the model will override the units specified in the dimension style; if unchecked, the dimension style rules.
