Content Center Help

Everytime I try to place a content center component I get the error message:

"Modeling: Failed to insert component"

I have read/write access to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2010\Content Center\Libraries\

as that is the library directory listed in the Content Center tab in the Application Options.

Have you installed Microsoft Excel and run once before opening IV?

Also, have you configured your project File correctly?

Dennis,

Thanks for the quick response.

Excel 2010 is installed and has been run before and while I've tried to insert a component.

I usually use the default project file, However I'm also getting the problem in the tutorial project file as well. It's setup hasn't been manipulated.

Thanks for the help, I solved the problem.

the File tab of Application Options, the Default Content Center files was pointing to a restricted location and was red text. Changing this to a location with read/write access solved the problem.

Thanks again.

The Default project file should never be used.
