I am currently working on a truss, which is affected by a load, nothing big. I am trying to use the frame analysis to simulate the tensions and displacements when hoisting (lifting). To learn how to simulate this, I'm doing the following:
I made up a 5 000 mm beam with 2 hoisting points (lifting eye's) both 750 mm from the ends (so actually 4 nodes with the mentioned distance in between), affected by a continious load.
Now, what do I do to simulate hoisting of the beam? Which constraints do I use?
