Composite iMate & MIN/MAX mate not working as expected?

Hi,

I have created a iMate with min and max values - Call it "TEST".  I have it working as an iMate so that it mates up automatically when i insert parts into an assembly.  I can drag the part through my defined min/max range.

I want to apply more than one constraint upon part insertion, so I guess I need to set up a Composite iMate.

As soon as I add my "TEST" iMate to a Composite, the min/max stops working and I am locked in to whatever the offset was in the "TEST" iMate definition.

Am I doing something wrong, or is this how it's supposed to not work?

Thanks,

  Iqbal.

Hi,

I just tried to place comp with composite iMate that contains min/max. It worked on my computer.

If you still can't create iMate result, could you attach your dataset so I can take a look what's wrong?

Thanks,

Robert

Hi Robert,

did your iMated components still have the range of motion, or were they locked?

Iqbal.
