Essentially I have created a model of a honeycomb composite. There are 3 layers to the composite, there are 2 solid plates sandwiching a honecomb core made of equalateral hexagons with a density of 10%. The plates are 1mm thick, and the core is 40mm thick, the overall length is 1000mm long, by 250mm wide. For whatever reason, I cannot select any of the faces, only the edges of the model. I need to run a stress analysis of this model and it will not let me select the top face to apply force onto. To try and remedy this; I split the top face into multiple polygons so that I could apply a load in the middle of the honecomb composite beam, yet that does not seem to help.
How can I fix this model?
What should I do?

Is there anyone out there who may be abble to instruct me on how to correct this model, or perhaps even recreate the model.

This isn't another stl file is it?
Stl files are planar faceted faces - generally of little use in an engineering software.
Find the red End of Part marker in the browser.
(End of Folded on sheet metal parts EOF)
Drag the red EOP to the top of the browser hiding all features.
Save the file with the EOP in a rolled up state.
Right click on the file name and select Send to Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Attach the resulting *.zip file here.
I see you all over the forums. I really wish I could give you more kudos. You are such a helpful person. Anyways, I moved the EOP as high up as I could move it, but still it is too large. The zipper folder is 42.674 MB
