Not directly.

Must save as STEP *.stp in 2015 to open in 2014.

Out of luck for drawing files.

FYI

by doing that you do lose the feature history

Inventor never had the ability to save down to a previous version

thats a plain Autocad feature

There was one time you could open new version in an old version of Inventor.

 

Inventor 5.5 would open Inventor 6 files without a save down...
