CONTENT CENTER / DESIGN ACCELERATOR DOCTOR, ERROR

Everytime I try to place a #8 machine screw type II screw from the content center I get a Design Accelerator Doctor error saying: "Modeling: Failed to insert a part into assembly!".
But if I place a Type I machine screw it works fine. Also if I replace the Type I screw with the Type II (the one I have a problem with) it replaces it no problem. So basically if I want to place a #8 Type II screw I have to place a Type I and then replace it with the Type II.. Anyone else have this problem?

Hello Serge,

can you please post:
- exact standard of the bolt - I tried all Countersunk bolts Type II, Thread
Description #8 and couldn't reproduce your problem
- What is the Nominal Length, Thread Type and if applicable Head Diameter of
the bolt?

I will look at it and let you know.

Thanks and regards,
- Lukas

It's the Cross Recessed Pan Head Machine Screw - Type II - Inch. Everytime I go to edit the screw before placing it I get the error.

Hello Serge,

I am sorry for the delay. I am still not able reproduce it. Please try to
clear the CC cahce - browse to "c:\My Documents\Inventor\Content Center
Files\R11\en-US\Cross Recessed Pan Head Machine Screw - Type II - Inch"and
delete the Corss Recessed Pan Head Machine Screw.... folder. If it won't
help would you please let me know which sizes exactly have the problem or is
it all sizes? I know it's #8 but I am not sure which Nominal Length and
Thread Type is it.

Thanks and regards,
- Lukas

Serge, yes I am having the same issue but with additional problems  - none of the Design Accel items will allow any creation. Just started today in a presentation, had never seen the errors or had any indication that a simple bolted connection would start this problem.

I've tested several other DA tool including the Shaft Gen and the roller chain and I always received the following..Design Accelerator Doctor, BTW have never seen this on a simple bolted connection..Or anything else...

Modeling: Failed to Create New Document?

What I have tried was unloading and reloading my Design Accelerator add-in's that did not work/help. I'm going to try a re-register  by running the RegisterDesignAccelerator.exe /uninstall  followed by the /install switch. I'm totally out of ideas, and cannot find any reason how or why this started...

Try finding that part in your CC folder, using Windows explorer, then delete it if it is there.

Thanks a lot sir. It is really helpful.

I wanted to add motor and encoder in my shaft design.

I don't know where I can add some standard motors and encoders in my design.

I tried seraching in internet, but couldn't found out.
